I have been told that my 2000 point Lizardmen army can be cheezy when taking a second generation Slaan. To those of you who only play 40k, think of him like a bad ass Deciever with a 2+ Invulnerable save against any missles, toughness 5 and 8 wounds. He basically destroys at least 2 units a turn with his magic, and he can choose from any of the 8 lores. Oh and he can never misscast, plus he gets an extra dice for every spell he casts.

Well he is a HUGE amount of points plus his unit. The thing in WHFB is that any high points unit can be taken out by a good flanking maneuver and some bad dice rolls. You fail a Ld test and get run down, there goes half your army. 2K is hard to do with a 2nd Gen. I played against this and there wasn't much else out there. So he massively unbalances the list. If he is in some way shut down, or avoided the rest of the army is doomed!

The problem is all the crap the guy can dish out. Against an army gunning for such a Slaan he may not be so bad. Against an army depending on getting some magic off (Khemri, Vampire Counts) he's terrible, because he takes the magic phase by the curlies and just pulls it wherever he wants!

Oh, and if this is who I think it is (hello Padawan!) then the reason people think that list is cheesy is that you take the 2nd Gen 800 pts guy AND two other 2nd lvl skinks with the most fucked up lore out there (Heavens of course...."no LOS?!! Anywhere on the TABLE!!???") that's why it's considered "cheesy". (I want my re-match BTW!!!)

Hahaha hello Master! I can see where it can be unbalenced. Mant special characters in the game probably shouldnt be used in 2000pts. unless you just wanna rape the guy. But yeh we can rematch anytime you want. I'm thinkin a 4th generation and more saurus for the blocks instead of so many points into 2nd gen. Just read up on the new rules ahead of time, and dont leave your general out in the open on her own again hahaha.

Well like Kieth said, he is a huge amount of points and you take the game if you kill him and his unit (like jon did with the screaming bell ) but the way you play him as you sit back with two bigger units of saurus on his flank that you can just move into... as well as the skink brothers prowling around... it makes it hard for those whose ward saves do not work against magic.
